Overview
This course aims to help you fulfil your dreams and become a certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician. It will also set you up to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s official Sterile Compounding exam.
Beginning with an introduction to the universal precautions of washing your hands and garbing, you are then taught some quick lectures on cleaning laminar flow hoods, which are the enclosed benches designed to prevent samples within being contaminated by the world outside. You are then given some demonstrations of sterile compounding pharmaceuticals before moving onto compounding pharmacy mathematics. In this unit, you will learn about solute, solvent and solution, percentages, allegation and dilution and how to correctly calculate the required dosage. Finally, you will learn the important dos and don’ts of sterile compounding.
Upon completion, you will have gained a valuable qualification and boosted your career prospects, and will now be one step closer to becoming a professional Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician.

Upon successful completion, you will qualify for the UK and internationally-recognised certificate and you can choose to make your achievement formal by obtaining your PDF Certificate at a cost of £9 and Hardcopy Certificate for £15.
