It is never too late to learn the basics of first aid. It is the kind of skill that can prove to be life-saving for anyone.

The First Aid at Work course is primarily designed to equip you with training in providing first aid in low-risk settings such as offices, shops, school and restaurants. 

Our course covers topics such as use of first aid boxes, recovery position and administering CPR. The First Aid at Work course will help learners assess risky situations better and help them take better decisions in potentially life-threatening situations

Course design

The First Aid at Work course is delivered through our online learning platform, accessible through any internet-connected device. There are no formal deadlines or teaching schedules, meaning you are free to study the course at your own pace.

You are taught through video lessons.


Endorsed Certification from ABC Awards

After successfully completing the course, learners will be able to order an endorsed certificate as proof of their new qualification. Endorsed certificates can be ordered and get delivered to your home by post for only £109. There is an additional £10 postage charge for international students.

CPD Certification from One Education

After successfully completing the MCQ assessment of this course, you will qualify for the CPD Certificate from One Education, as proof of your continued professional development. Certification is available in PDF format, at the cost of £9, or a hard copy can be sent to you via post, at the cost of £15.


At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).

The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards and Certa Awards Quality Licence Scheme.  This means that One Education has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 5 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.

Method of Assessment

To assess your learning, you have to complete the assignment questions provided at the end of the course. You have to score at least 60% to pass the exam and to qualify for ABC endorsed and CPD accredited certificates. 

After submitting the assignment, our expert tutor will assess your assignment and will give you feedback on your performance.

After passing the assignment exam, you will be able to apply for a certificate.

Who is this First Aid at Work Course for?

This First Aid at Work course is for anyone who is genuinely interested to learn more about first aid basics. There are no prior learning requirements or formal degrees necessary to begin this course, and it can be studied on a full-time or part-time basis.


The First Aid at Work course is open to all, with no formal entry requirements. All you need is a passion for learning, a good understanding of the English language, numeracy and IT, and to be over the age of 16.
