This laboratory technician training introduces core clinical laboratory skills, medical laboratory procedures and lab equipment handling. Learners develop practical confidence while studying online, focusing on accuracy, safe practice and reliable diagnostic testing techniques.
The course covers sample collection and analysis, laboratory safety and compliance, microscopy, chemistry, microbiology and haematology. Each module strengthens understanding of essential diagnostic processes used daily across modern medical and research laboratories.

Learners take a multiple-choice exam that is automatically marked. The exam evaluates their understanding of the course content, and learners must achieve at least 60% to pass. Successful learners receive a CPD-certified certificate.
After completing the lab technician course assessment, you will qualify for a CPD certified certificate from One Education to showcase your achievement.
The certificate is available in two formats: a PDF version, which costs £9, or a printed hard copy that can be delivered to you by post for £15.
