Description
The Prevent Duty course is a practical training course designed to provide those who work in the education sector and public sector with an in-depth understanding of their legal responsibilities in regards to supporting vulnerable people at risk of radicalisation. It covers key legislation such as the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015, taking you through the differences between extremism, radicalism and terrorism.
You will learn about the channel early intervention process regarding safeguarding vulnerable, at-risk people, how to report your safeguarding concerns, how to conduct a prevent risk assessment, and implement a risk-based approach when delivering prevent.
In addition, you will learn how to effectively promote British values and will be introduced to some crucial counter-terrorism strategies that every teacher should be aware of.
