  1. Disappointing

The Room Attendant course gave a very thorough grounding of hotel operations, staffing and procedures. The course material is inconsistent in that some modules seem to relate to the USA and others to the UK. Some modules appear to have been written by someone whose first language is not English, as the grammar is poor. There was also a reference to people being ‘slightly retarded’, which I found to be out of date and offensive language. There is a pop up marketing tool that persistently occurs on the screen when trying to study the module or complete the exam. One Education seem much more interested in marketing courses than scrutinising the quality of their products. The staff are however keen to put things right when issues are pointed out. I was grateful to be promised a free certificate as a result of raining my concerns, although I haven’t as yet received it.
