Method of Assessment
The assessment methods for this qualification are in compliance with the regulatory authorities’ standards. The NCFE Level 1 Award in Health and Safety Awareness is internally assessed using a learner workbook that includes all of the qualification’s learning goals. Each student must finish the workbook, which has a combination of short- and long-answer questions. Centres may employ additional activities and evidence collecting if necessary to assist learners in completing their workbooks. Internal evaluations are subjected to external quality assurance at least once a year to ensure that assessment and grading choices are in accordance with needed standards. External quality assurers are in charge of monitoring and sampling learners’ evidence to ensure that internal assessment judgments are valid, trustworthy, fair, and compatible with national standards.
